Please join me for EnerQi Yoga! I love offering this class, which integrates Yoga, Energy Medicine and Qigong. We weave together techniques from all these traditions, resulting in a much more powerful practice. Qigong is aligned with traditional Chinese medicine, and Energy Medicine works at the energetic level to support 9 unique energy systems in the body.
EnerQi Yoga combines these powerful practices to energetically support physical, mental and emotional health. We will learn specific practices to target each energy system, clearing blocked energy, improving sleep, boosting energy and immunity, reducing stress, and promoting general health and healing. You will notice improved physical, mental and emotional health with regular practice of some very simple techniques.
This class is open to everyone, and any level of yoga experience is welcome. The practices are simple but very powerful. Come join me and experience the benefits yourself!
All classes are recorded, so students can practice at home, and also can access the recorded classes if unable to attend at the scheduled time.
In the March-April session, we will welcome the Spring Equinox with practices to balance Earth Element, which is dominant during the transitions between seasons. Spleen and Stomach are the meridians associated with Earth. Balancing Earth Element helps us replace worry with good self-care. We will also practice techniques for shifting negative thinking.
As we move into Spring season, I will introduce Wood Element, which is dominant during Spring. Balancing Wood Element helps transform anger into assertiveness, so that we can use this energy in a positive way to advocate for change. It is also helpful if you are inclined to have tight muscles. Liver (Yin) and Gallbladder (Yang) meridians are associated with Wood Element. Liver Qi stagnation is quite common in our culture, and can show up in symptoms such as irritability, migraines, trouble sleeping, and hormonal imbalances.
