Private-yoga2I offer private yoga instruction for a variety of conditions, including Yoga for Fertility, Prenatal Yoga, Yoga for Healthy Hormones, and EnerQi Yoga.

Private Yoga for Fertility Sessions

The goal of private Yoga for Fertility sessions is to provide you with routines that can be done daily in your own home. Working one-on-one,  I am able to assess what yoga poses and practices will best support you, taking into consideration your fertility history, current situation, yoga experience and any other factors such as injuries or physical limitations.

Private Yoga for Fertility sessions are offered via Zoom or in person at my space which is in northeast Seattle.  If you require that the session be held at your home or other location in the Seattle area, I may be able to accommodate this for an additional fee.   Private sessions for couples are also available.

I generally suggest that we meet at least once during the first part of your cycle, and once during the second half, since I would be giving you a different routine depending on where you are in your cycle.  Many poses can be done anytime during the cycle, but some poses are very stimulative and are more useful during the first half (pre-ovulation) phase.  Other, more supportive poses may be used for the 2nd half of the cycle, when implantation should be taking place.

If you are doing some type of assisted cycle, such as IUI’s or IVF’s, you can still do yoga during the cycle; however, it is important to modify some of the poses. Individual yoga sessions are very useful during assisted cycles, as I can give you a routine with the yoga poses that will support each phase of the cycle.

You put together a great set of private yoga lessons for me last September.  We decided to go back to IUIs a few months ago and as of today, I’m 8 weeks pregnant with multiples!  Thanks for all that you did. I firmly believe the stress management and yoga helped.  My FSH levels went from a 13.1 to a 7!   Anyway, just a little note to say thank you. We are beyond excited… – C.J.

Private Yoga for Fertility sessions start with a 90-minute initial consultation and yoga session.  Follow-on sessions of one hour will be scheduled as needed.  Couples’ sessions are also available.   In the initial consultation, we devote enough time to discussion so that I can get your fertility history, and understand your current situation, and you will receive an tailored yoga routine to practice with.   We will schedule any follow-on yoga session(s) at that time.  Private sessions are available via Zoom or in-person.  You will receive a written copy of your yoga routine as well as a video recording to practice with at home.

Private Prenatal Yoga Sessions

Although I no longer teach group Prenatal Yoga classes, I currently do offer private Prenatal Yoga sessions for anyone who has “graduated” from my Yoga for Fertility classes.  Generally, we would plan to meet every 6 weeks or so, to modify poses and practices as your pregnancy progresses.  I have worked with a wide range of clients – feel free to contact me with your specific situation or concerns.  I am a Registered Prenatal Yoga Teacher and also a Certified Yoga Therapist, with 20+ years of yoga teaching experience.   If appropriate, I may also bring in practices and techniques from other healing traditions that I have studied, including Energy Medicine.

Private Yoga for Healthy Hormones Sessions

Yoga is intrinsically designed to in help to regulate the endocrine system, the system that produces and manages hormones in your body.  In individual Yoga for Healthy Hormones sessions, you will learn to use yoga to address specific symptoms, to support healthy hormone levels, and to improve your physical, mental, and emotional health on all levels.

Private EnerQi Yoga Sessions

I offer these private sessions for anyone interested in using simple but powerful Yoga, Energy Medicine and Qigong techniques to address specific health issues, or to improve general health, energy and well-being.  I have worked with clients on a wide range of issues including: stress reduction, insomnia, general fatigue, immune boosting, anxiety or women’s health.  These practices are also effective if you simply want to feel better and have more energy.  Feel free to contact me with your specific situation or concerns.
